Case Study: Family Problem Washed Away

Two parents, two children – and no shower in the bathroom. That was the problem a family in Bradway wanted to overcome. Mum and dad asked us to design a bathroom that would create more space, and allow for a separate shower and bath. The family wanted a bathroom design that was practical and contemporary in appearance. Here is what we did…

Showering area.

The shower has a stylish striped showerwall, which has been designed to complement the Karndean flooring. The showerwall material has also been used around the basin and loo, giving a clean-cut feel. The shower tray extends further than the glass cubicle, preventing water splashing onto the floor.

Bath tub.

Large curved Ideal Standard bath was fitted, with a matching suite.

Finishing touches. There is a wall-hung mirror above the basin, reflecting light around the room, and a white Quartzstoneshelf. A large dual-fuel heated towel rail was fitted, which means towels can be dried by electricity, or when the central heating is switched on. The old bathroom was fairly new, so we re-used the white wall tiles.
