Case Study: Our Bathroom: Second Edition

Ian and Kerry Clarke were so impressed with the en-suite bathroom that Grand Interior Designs fitted for them in December 2015, that they asked the company to return and transform a main bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. The en-suite bathroom Grand Interior Designs fitted last year featured in Grapevine’s February 2016 issue.

The bathroom was completely redesigned enabling a large walk-in shower and more storage. An old archway was removed. Ian and Kerry wanted to retain a bath and shower in the room. A large free-standing tapless bath was fitted with the taps outside the tub, making a striking feature. The showering area is now much larger, having been moved across the room, and is enclosed by a folding-glass screen. The room is flush with technology. The WC has a hygienic rimless design and is a combined toilet and bidet with a seat warmer for those cold nights. Two radiators were fitted.

One of them being dual-fuel, which is ideal in the warm summer months when the central heating is not on. White and black wall tiles complement the striking vinyl tile flooring. Grand Interior Designs also fitted a new suite in a downstairs cloakroom.

 
Grand Interior Designs did a very good job last time, so we had no hesitation in asking them to fit another bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. We like the fact they offer an all-in-one-service. They really do look after everything for you.
